By trade, I’m an Emmy Award-winning Executive Producer, and self-published poet of three poetry books. But at home, I’m a wife to an amazing husband, Neil, and a mama to our two beautiful girls Nova & Nora.
MY STORY
Like so many, I was born and raised in the church—so I’d always been familiar with GOD. But that wasn’t enough.
By the time I was 21, that familiarity felt more like an acquaintance with GOD rather than a deep, valued relationship. Eventually, I left my faith—or so I thought. I say “thought” because while I left GOD, He never left me.
Not long after “leaving” the faith, the Lord met me in a radical way and pursued me in the depths of my grief after losing my father, my disappointment thanks to one too many failed relationships, on top of the never ending questions about my identity.
A decade later, He hasn’t stopped pursuing me.
WHAT IS #THERIBLIFEJOURNEY?
I started #TheRibLifeJourney blog my senior year in college to reach young women after GOD’s heart—who were searching for community in their singleness and celibacy journeys. At the time, there were so many other “Christian lifestyle blogs” for women, but their emphasis was on how to be a pure and godly woman in order to obtain a man…not actually how to be a woman seeking true companionship and communion with GOD.
I wanted women to fully experience their journeys with the emphasis being on a relationship with GOD—not finding a husband.
It’s been a while since that college senior in her dorm pressed the publish button, but my mission is still the same: connection with Christ and community among women.
